  4. Brooke - the short answer is I am reading it again for the upcoming joint post with Michael featuring said title. The long answer is I definitely got it from the library before and I thought I read it but as I was reading it I'm no longer sure. How sad is that? I would have read it within the past year... Maybe am confusing it with the movie.

lp13 and M - Thanks! Had fab time reading and enjoying the wonderful climate.

  5. Brooke - mystery solved. I have seen the movie but it was a later title in the Easy Rawlins series that I had actually read. So I'm pretty sure I hadn't already read DiaBD.

  6. I just read Dick Francis's last book. I read those books because they were easy and fast. This one was a painful shadow of his other ones and I wish I hadn't picked it up.

On the other hand, I now understand that his other books might have been more solid than I'd thought.

  7. Kate - I've just been lent two of his books but have not started them. I remember trying to read one way back when because I love horses so much. I wasn't too into it then but these two were specifically recommended by someone I know.
