Is anyone else eschewing the digital life for this beautiful and mild summer? No? Just me?
I've never understood those crazies that whine about "needing seasons." Blah, blah, blah! Any season that isn't summer isn't worth having!
Oh, the summer night
Has a smile of light
And she sits on a sapphire throne.
Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability.
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.
No price is set on the lavish summer;
June may be had by the poorest comer.
~James Russell Lowell
Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.
~Ada Louise Huxtable
