In a funny coincidence I just came by this article one day after finishing a boring book for review. I wrote up the review and while my most prominent response was BORING I did not use the word. According to the article I'm not the only one that hesitates to do this:
But there is one word you seldom encounter: boring. It occurred a mere 19 times in the Book Review in 2009, and rarely as a direct description of the book under review.

So, huh. I wonder why that is. And since I have not submitted the review yet, dare I go back and actually say boring?
